Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 is currently known as one of the most used GPUs for Cryptomining.

Indeed the GPU is capable of running some popular algorithms like Ethash, Kawpow, and Autolykos efficiently.

In fact, the RTX 3070 is still the best choice for miners. The reason being is a whopping 8GB GDDR6 memory that opens up options for plenty of other coins to mine.

There’s a major concern lingering around over the future of crypto-mining after ETH 2.0.

Therefore, we would highly suggest going after the GPU having greater memory size as the DAG file size for coins will be increasing in the future.

RTX 3070 MSI Afterburner Overclock Settings for Ethereum

The following configuration is on Trex Miner and Windows 10. These OC settings are optimal to provide maximum hashrate and minimum power consumption.

The GPU tested for these configurations is MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 3070.

The temperatures may vary a bit because of the thermals of various brands.

However, you can always tweak the settings if any stale shares show up.

  • Power limit: 50%
  • Temp limit: 70° C
  • Fan Speed: 70%

Here are the expected results you will be able to see after applying the settings.

The stats may vary slightly depending upon the GPU variant and room temperature.

Note: For Non-LHR cards, we would highly recommend using NB-Miner because it can unlock your card up to 70 percent.

Resulting in around 40 mh/s with the same OC settings.

MSI Afterburner Overclock Settings for Raven Coin

Unlike Ethash, the algorithm for mining raven coin Kawpow is quite power-consuming.

Hence, the power consumption of the cards is on the higher side for mining Raven.

Tip: Make sure to run the miner initially in default OC settings. Once the DAG file is generated, apply the overclock settings for a consistent hashrate.
